It is said that our renovated hall with its arches from the 16th century has become very homey. That’s what our many regular guests, who favour us every day, say.

The architect Andreas Flora has been able to accentuate the very old fabric of our building with only a few changes. All this is combined with untreated furniture from solid wood from local larch and modern “Occhio” luminaries from the designer Axel Meise.

That’s all about the mere external things. WE offer the contents, namely the good things from kitchen and cellar. For lunch there’s always a large buffet with different types of salads and starters and one-course meals for the employed person. For dinner you can choose between meals from the traditional South Tyrolean kitchen and whole food meals. Our ingredients come from regional producers whenever possible and the number of regional producers and the quality of their goods rises steadily.

Although we don’t have the wine shop anymore, the range and quality of our wine cellar hasn’t changed. We have all sorts of wine that are famous in the world of wine in South Tyrol and of course we have some of the best wines of the most famous wine producers from the rest of Italy, too.

Our supplies in serving wine by the glass vary daily so that these wonderful types of wine mentioned above can be drunk and degusted. So you can try all types of wine by glass without ordering a whole bottle.

The bar is situated in the old hall, decorated with arches. It offers a huge variety of wines and spirituous beverages from South Tyrol and the Vinschgau Valley. The architect Andreas Flora has known how to combine the historical ambience with modern elements such as the “Occhio” luminaries by the designer Axel Meise. On demand, Robert Sagmeister gives you an insight into the South Tyrolean world of wine with an entertaining wine tasting.

The terrace of the hotel offers a wonderful view over the village centre of Mals and over the mountain chains of the Engadin (Switzerland). There are barbecue evenings on the terrace using the big barbecue.
