Being Active: Hiking, Skiing and Riding the Bike

The Vinschgau Valley and the surroundings of Mals are ideal starting points for hiking, climbing, skiing and riding the bike. The special thing about it is the cultural surrounding of the tri-border region with castles, palaces and churches as constant companions.

Guests can go hiking on different altitudes between the bottom of the Valley and the surrounding peaks. A characteristic are the “Waalwege”, the paths along the canals of irrigation.

For those of you who like hiking, the Vinschgau Valley offers something for everybody. The Vinschgau Valley has a lot of beautiful cycling paths, interesting for mountain bikers (for which the Vinschgau Valley is an insider tip), racing cyclists or unhurried cyclists.

In winter, our guests have the possibility to go skiing in one of the smaller to medium-sized skiing regions, which are all in only ten to fifteen minutes driving distance.
