Our historic hotel in Italy has been in family hands for four generations. However, the history of the house goes back much, much further, to the 16th century. Today, Robert and Andrea Sagmeister, together with their three children, fill the time-honoured walls with passion and their down-to-earth warmth. Senior boss Hanni checks the kitchen from time to time to make sure everything is all right.
In addition to the historic charm of the house, we also want to keep our guests healthy. The focus is on dishes rich in vital substances mixed with exercise in the great outdoors.
Because our health is our greatest asset
We have been offering wholefoods rich in vital substances according to Dr. Bruker for over 30 years. Many of our guests keep coming back to Hotel Greif for that very reason. Sonja Sagmeister, health advisor and organic farmer at the Englhof in Schleis, brings her expertise and knowledge to the hotel kitchen. She is available to our guests for individual consultations upon request and subject to availability. A lot of knowledge is imparted with special offers such as herb weeks and vegetarian cooking courses. The hotel's own exercise room is the location for morning and back exercise, and host Robert accompanies you on hikes in the Vinschgau mountains. The rooms are also furnished according to ecological building criteria: local, untreated wood from the Mals forest ensures healthy sleep after an active day.
