Ortler area
King of the South Tyrolean mountains

The highest mountain in South Tyrol and its neighbours dominate the landscape in the upper Vinschgau. A large part of the Ortler area is located in the National Park Stilfserjoch and offers exciting hikes with views of the glaciers and peaks that reach altitudes of almost 4000 metres. The villages of Sulden and Trafoi are ideal starting points for hiking tours.

Ski & Adventure Mountain Watles
365 days of adventures

With 18 kilometres of slopes, a fun park, a ski cross slope and a natural toboggan run, the Watles ski area is ideal for winter sports fans who prefer compactness to large ski areas. Cross-country skiers will find a 15-kilometre circuit in the adjacent Cross-Country Nordic Center Schlinig. In summer, the adventure mountain delights with its panoramic hiking trails, mountain carts and a 3D archery facility.

National Park Stilfserjoch
On the move in the land of diversity

The National Park Stilfserjoch is one of the largest nature reserves in Europe and inspires with hiking trails in an untouched landscape that is home to numerous wild animals and rare plants. The panoramic road to the Stilfserjoch pass, with its 48 hairpin bends, is the highest mountain pass in Italy and is considered a classic as well as a challenge in the road bike scene.

Lake Reschen
Sporty in and on the water

Walk or ride around it and kite or boat across the sparkling surface: Reschensee is no longer only known for its sunken tower, but also for the numerous sporting opportunities. In winter it forms a huge base for ice skating, ice sailing and snow kiting.

Münstertal
An unspoiled spot on Earth

The rustic Münstertal, also known as Val Müstair, connects the Vinschgau with the Swiss canton of Graubünden. The larger part of the valley is already on Swiss soil, only the municipality of Taufers im Münster belongs to South Tyrol. The valley is at the heart of a wonderful hiking area. Even in winter, the area is ideal for cross-country skiing or snowshoeing in untouched nature.
